Board Election

The 2022 Board election was conducted on November 8, 2022. Seats up for election were Position #1, #3, and #4.

Position #1-
  Mark Bain ran unopposed. He received 784 votes. 20 Votes were cast absentee. 487 were cast during early voting and 277 were cast on election day.

Position #3-
Gary Yackel received 519 votes and has been declared the winner. 15 Votes were cast absentee. 352 were cast during early voting and 152 were cast on election day. 
Timothy Webb received 205 votes. 4 Votes were cast absentee. 115 were cast during early voting and 86 were cast on election day. 
Marco Munoz received 112 votes. 4 Votes were cast absentee. 52 were cast during  early voting and 56 were cast on election day. 

Position #4-
Tanya Townsend Bram received 589 votes and has been declared the winner. 13 Votes were cast absentee. 358 were cast during early voting and 218 were cast on election day. 
Jay Heard received 204 votes. 7 Votes were cast absentee. 134 were cast during early voting and 63 were cast on election day. 
David Menefee received 58 votes.  4 Votes were cast absentee. 35 were cast during early voting and 19 were cast on election day. 

The next Board election will be in November, 2024. There will be 4 seats up for election. Position 2, Position 5, Position 6, and Position 7.

Board Meeting Schedule

The Board usually meets at 7:00 pm on the third Monday of each month at the Louise ISD Board Room located inside the Elementary School. Special meetings may be called when necessary. A written notice of regular and special meetings will be posted at the Administration Office and on-line through the Boardbook link above at least 72 hours before the scheduled meeting time. The written notice will show the date, time, place, and subjects of each meeting. In emergencies, a meeting may be held with two hours notice.

Texas Open Meetings Act

All meetings are open to the public. Texas Law permits the Board to go into closed session to discuss prospective gifts or donations, real property acquisition, personnel issues including conferences with employees and employee complaints, security matters, student discipline, or to consult with attorneys. The public is excluded from closed sessions.
