Seniors: You have several sources available for scholarships searches on our school web page under Counselor's Corner.  First, I recommend that you look for scholarships on the ECOS program www.ecos.embark.com , which lists over 500,000 scholarship sources on its link.  Another good link that I am encouraging you to visit and register with is FASTWEB www.fastweb.com .

Please stop by and pick up scholarship applications for Coca-Cola, the Prudential Spirit of Community Awards and the Outstanding Student's of America.  New scholarships are coming in daily; stop by my office periodically to check for new scholarships.

If you haven't taken your ACT, SAT or THEA, you need to do so.
See your Counselor's Corner for test dates.

Juniors:  I have the Discover Card scholarship for recognizing excellence in high school juniors.   Please stop by my office to get a copy.  Remember that the PSAT test will be given on October 16 in the cafeteria.  You can take a practice version of this test as often as needed to help you become familiar with it.  It is very important that you do your best on this test.  Remember your score is required on many scholarships forms for next year.

I strongly encourage all Juniors to register and take the ACT, SAT, or THEA this year.  Remember these tests can be taken more than once. It is best to take the ACT or SAT during your Junior year, (preferably the latter part of the first semester or early second semester), so you can have time to take it again and improve your score if you feel you can or need to do better.  See our Counselor's Corner for test dates.
