I have lived in Conroe, Texas since 1994. I currently teach World History
at The Woodlands High School, and my wife, Lisa, teaches music at Sam Houston Elementary
in Conroe. We have one son, Nicholas, who is 3. Some may remember that I taught and
coached in Louise from 1990 to 1993. I have very fond memories of my days at Louise. I
guess the highlight was the 1993 basketball season. I was Coach Tom Lovejoy's assistant
and we won the district championship for the first time in 25 years. We then defeated San
Isidro in bi-district and Burton in area on a last second tip in by Clint Green at the
buzzer (100-99-What a game!). This earned us the right to participate in the regional
tournament at St. Edward's University in Austin where we lost to Calvert, the eventual
regional champion. I will always cherish the time I had working with Coach Lovejoy and
those 10 young men (Green, Ochoa, Farley, Black, Baker, Duke, etc...). I currently have
two nieces (Jennifer Piwonka & Lindsey Piwonka) and one nephew (Chance Ramsey) who
attend Louise schools. I would love to hear from any former players, teaching colleagues,
or classmates. |
